Dear Márkus Theater Audience!
This year, we received a letter from Santa Claus for the 11th time! The postman delivered it just a week ago. Read it for yourselves:
“Dear Children and their wonderful parents!
I hope this letter finds you all in good health!
Another year has passed, and here at the North Pole, we are busy preparing to fill every child’s stocking with a few kind words, courage, hope, faith, and joy. The gifts are being prepared, and I am listening to your secret words, dreams, and wishes. Your faith gives me the strength to continue every year, and for that I cannot be grateful enough to you.
I think of you with such love throughout the year, and now the time has come again, and soon I will set off for you once more with my reindeer, Csengő. If all the stars are in place, I will arrive on the night of November 22 with the cool north wind (look up at the sky!), and I will move into my beloved workshop in Pécs, the Márkus Szín.
Come and take a peek into my residence with your mom, dad, and family! During Lili’s guided tours, you can learn about the strange, sometimes seemingly mundane magical tools I use in my everyday life, what my favorite sport is, what my favorite reindeer is called, why I put little seals under my pillow, how many strange languages I speak, or how I find my way around the sky…
I look forward to receiving your letters and drawings in my red mailbox in Pécs from November 15!

On the night of November 22, Santa Claus will once again move into the Márkus Theater, where he will stay for two weeks…! There he will prepare and wrap gifts, brush his teeth, sleep, and feed his reindeer in front of the puppet theater and the mice in the workshop. Now you can see how he spends his days here in Pécs when he is not at the Márkus Theater!
Santa Claus’s Mailbox! Starting November 15!
Every year, Santa Claus asks us to put up a mailbox for him so that letters from children in Pécs and the surrounding area can be delivered to him!
As every year, Santa Claus has a surprise in store for us this year too. Visitors to the room will not only be able to taste his favorite tea and cookies, but… but that will remain a secret for now…
