Mandul\u00e1s forest gym<\/strong><\/h3>\nIt was high time to modernise the forest gym in Mandul\u00e1s, so in May 2021 the employees of BIOKOM nonprofit company started to dismantle the old sports equipment at all 15 stations and replaced them with safer and more modern equipment. The work took about two months. Hikers have been able to use the new equipment since June 2021. It is not only the equipment and the information signs at the stations that have been modernised, but new benches, tables and waste disposal bins have been set up and the playground has been modernised too. The total cost of the modernisation was about 7.1 million forints.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n

However, the breath-taking panorama may be best enjoyed only if the monument\u2019s surroundings is tidy as well. The rundown area with out-of-use concrete panels scattered around used to be a serious problem for a long time. For this reason, the renovation of the monument and its surroundings was the first objective of Pint\u00e9r J\u00e1nos Programme implemented by BIOKOM. The graffities were removed from the monument and the out-of-use concrete and rusty metal scraps were also got rid of. The holes left in their place were filled with earth. Furthermore, the guard rails were restored and repainted, new and more modern benches were set up, and landscaping was performed in the area. The work started in early spring in 2021 and finished in May. Since then, residents and tourists have been enjoying the panoramic view in a beautiful and tidy environment. Furthermore, the candelabras were cleaned, the street furniture and the waste containers were modernised, some landscaping was carried out, the rails were repainted and lengthened, and new information signs were erected. A metal plaque handmade by an employee of the company, Tam\u00e1s Lovasi is displayed at the terrace depicting the most famous buildings in P\u00e9cs such as the Holy Trinity statue, the TV Tower, the Mosque of Pasha Qasim, the John Hunyadi statue, and the well-known bull head on the famous Zsolnay well. It is the final resting place of several renowned families and persons who did much for P\u00e9cs. The so-called cemetery walks programme launched in 2019 aims to familiarise visitors with the achievements of these persons.\u00a0 The programme has been popular since the very beginning. During the walks, people can learn about Olympic athletes and champions, families with German ancestry and citizens who died for their country. Besides its cultural value, the cemetery is also a vast green area in the city which, subject to an effective municipal decree, is a local nature reserve in which the flora must be protected and conserved.<\/p>\n
Continuous development is needed to ensure a nice final resting place for deceased people. In parcel XXIV\/c, an exclusive cremation garden was established in 2021 only allowing burials in cremation niches. Each of the 120 cremation niches can hold two urns. The development implemented by BIOKOM Nonprofit Company started on 11 May 2020 and finished in August 2021. All works were implemented by BIOKOM Company, only the production of the concrete cremation niches required the involvement of a subcontractor. Creating and maintaining a uniform image in the long run was an important factor in designing this parcel section. Five new benches were set up in the South of the parcel, and one new bench was installed on the pavement diving the parcel in the middle.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n

It is the final resting place of several renowned families and persons who did much for P\u00e9cs. The so-called cemetery walks programme launched in 2019 aims to familiarise visitors with the achievements of these persons.\u00a0 The programme has been popular since the very beginning. During the walks, people can learn about Olympic athletes and champions, families with German ancestry and citizens who died for their country. Besides its cultural value, the cemetery is also a vast green area in the city which, subject to an effective municipal decree, is a local nature reserve in which the flora must be protected and conserved.<\/p>\n
Continuous development is needed to ensure a nice final resting place for deceased people. In parcel XXIV\/c, an exclusive cremation garden was established in 2021 only allowing burials in cremation niches. Each of the 120 cremation niches can hold two urns. The development implemented by BIOKOM Nonprofit Company started on 11 May 2020 and finished in August 2021. All works were implemented by BIOKOM Company, only the production of the concrete cremation niches required the involvement of a subcontractor. Creating and maintaining a uniform image in the long run was an important factor in designing this parcel section. Five new benches were set up in the South of the parcel, and one new bench was installed on the pavement diving the parcel in the middle.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n

The playground at Puskin Square had to be pulled down in 2020 as it had not passed quality control for playground standards. However, the locals expressed their need for a new playground which was finished at the beginning of August 2021 using a budget of 5 million forints. Landscaping was followed by creating the flooring for the playground. When the fence was set up for the safety of children, the playground equipment was installed including new toys, rides, swings, and a sand box. A special garden called giants\u2019 garden was created where 180 large seedlings were planted that can make children \u2013 and even adults \u2013 feel small in comparison. Moreover, 11 saplings were planted in the playground in autumn 2020 to provide shade to visitors staying in the playground.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n

Malomv\u00f6lgy Forest Park saw such large-scale modernisation in 2021 as never before.<\/p>\n
The development implemented by BIOKOM Nonprofit Company began in early spring 2021. The 6-kilometre path at the lake bank was covered with gravel and the overhanging tree and bush branches were pruned.<\/p>\n
The modernisation was implemented in two phases. In phase 1, which was finished by the mid of August from a budget of 9 million forints, the lower car park (aka. the car park for fishermen) was modernised and expanded, making it more convenient and safer for visitors. The Passageway of Love \u2013 a little bridge connecting the dam and the East side of the promenade \u2013 and the rain shelter by the buffet have been restored. Furthermore, a sandy plage with 10 sun-loungers and a rain shelter was created. Although swimming is forbidden in the lake, adults can relax and bask in the sun while children are playing in the sand. Furthermore, a new playground, not far from the plage, was built to please children.<\/p>\n
In phase 2, more fire pits with outdoor benches and tables will be set up for hikers returning from Zs\u00edrosdomb lookout. In addition, new toilets will be established near the lakes. Phase 2 requiring a budget of 10 million forints is expected to be completed by 15 October 2021.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n
