The Mecsek&#8217;s gift, the high-quality karst water from their own wells is used to make the Szalon Beer. The history of beermaking goes back until the Franciscan Monastery in 1301. The company was founded by Lip\u00f3t Hirschfeld in the middle of the XIX century, from the brewery operated continously ever since.
