About the route:

  • There are 12 categorized climbs on this year’s route. The only 1st category climb will be the finish in Pécs – Bárány Road and Tótvázsony-Gella were classified as 2nd category, while Tengelic-Szőlőhegy, Gödre, Zobákpuszta, and Szentkirályszabadja were classified as 3rd category.
  • Over the course of the 829-kilometer race, competitors must overcome an elevation gain of nearly 5,500 meters.
  • The first three stages of the five-day race favor sprinters. The fourth is the queen stage and the only mountain finish on the route. The hilly fifth stage promises an unpredictable outcome due to the undulating terrain, large elevation changes, and flat finish.
  • The route covers a total of 70 towns and 7 counties (Békés, Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok, Bács-Kiskun, Tolna, Somogy, Baranya, Veszprém).
  • There are 15 intermediate sprints through the race where riders can collect points and bonus seconds. The first three competitors to cross the line gain 3, 2, and 1 seconds, respectively.
