The 50th anniversary concert of the ‘Szélkiáltó” band.

Guests: Kornél Horváth Kossuth Prize-winning percussionist, Katalin Sólyom Jászai Prize-winning actor, and other surprise guests.

The programme is free, but registration is required. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket offices of the ZsÖK NKft., maximum 6 tickets per person.

50 years of Szélkiáltó!

Poetry and melody existed only together at the beginning of time. Poetry is named after the ancient Greek instrument called lyre. This ancient state was the folk song.

Later on, at different times in different cultures, but eventually everywhere, text and music were completely separated and revived as separate artistic disciplines. We are trying to bring them closer together again, to reunite them.

We have been preserving this long-standing tradition for fifty years, and we are trying to revive it at this jubilee concert, where we will try to bring back to life the important moments of the past from the songs of the past many years.

We do this on a significant day, the Day of Hungarian Culture, which commemorates the event that – according to the manuscript – Ferenc Kölcsey revised and dated the manuscript of the Hymn in Cseke on this day in 1823.

Our guest Kornél Horváth, our Kossuth and Príma Award-winning percussionist friend, who plays on many of our records and with whom we had the opportunity to give a joint concert in the M2 Petőfi TV series Akusztik in 2023, will be a great help in this.

In addition, there will be a surprise guest, whose identity we cannot reveal at this time.
