This year we again celebrate the birthday of the Pécs-based poet, László Bertók with poetry, art and music. Anyone who is curious about where the Hungarian creative art is heading can come and enrich themselves with some priceless experiences this evening!
It is the fourth time that the Bertók Award has been presented, and since last year, a mature poet and a young and promising poet have received it. The award ceremony reflects the founders’ notions open towards other art forms: the award also includes a unique fine art masterpiece, while a new music composition is presented at the ceremony every time. This year, Máté Balogh set the poetry of László Bertók to music, namely to a symphony. But what does László Bertók’s legacy actually mean? And how can it be reinterpreted in other art forms? We can also get answers to these questions.
