Here’s the December event, so the Advent season can be about more than just Christmas—it’s also a time to prepare for the next Slam Club! This time, the competition theme is TRADITION!
Of course, you can also sign up for Open Mic, where you can perform any piece without thematic or time limits.

HO-HO-HO! We also want to do a little “guerrilla gift exchange” at the club for anyone who wants to join. The “task” is simple: bring a small handmade item—this could be a poem, a slam piece, a Christmas ornament, a bookmark, a postcard, or anything else.
Everyone who brings a gift will be entered into a draw, and recipients will be chosen randomly. The goal isn’t to spend a lot or buy everything, but if you have time and energy to prepare a small token, we’re sure someone will happily receive it!
Evening Schedule:
- 19:00 Arrival, seating, registration for performers, socializing
- 20:00 Open Mic
- 20:30 Competition (theme: TRADITION)

- Advance purchase (before event day): 2,000 HUF
- On the day / at the venue: 3,000 HUF
Rules & Guidelines:
- Competitors must arrive by 19:30 to confirm participation.
- The lineup fills in the order of online registration; after 10 participants, a waiting list will open.
- The performance order is determined by immediate random draw. The selected performer receives the microphone, and timing starts with the first word. Each piece has a 3-minute limit, with a deduction of 1 point per 30 seconds if exceeded.
- Poems are scored by a 5-member jury, partly drawn from the audience, giving points from 1 to 10.
- The total points from the jury determine the performer’s score. The highest and lowest points are excluded from the total.
- +1 point for a completely memorized, original poem.
Prizes are books of priceless value, courtesy of Bagolyfészek Bookstore, awarded to the top performers.
