Armenian Local Council of Pécs

The Armenian Local Council of Pécs has set itself the task of preserving and promoting Armenian cultural values and traditions within Hungary. It pursues this mission by fostering Armenian-Hungarian relations, with a particular focus on the city of Pécs. A further aim is to raise awareness of Armenian culture amongst the local population by actively involving city residents in community programmes. It cooperates closely with other Armenian communities living in Hungary, so that, through this cohesion, ties with the majority society may develop more dynamically. It plays a prominent role in cooperating with other ethnic minority self-governments in the city of Pécs, thereby enriching our city’s cultural landscape.
